This project was developed by 5 Industrial Design students from Aalborg
University. The project addresses the issue of handling heavy equipment as a
scuba diver. The project resulted in the proposed solution DIVE DOCK. This
project highlights the development process for the solution, as well as the detailing of the final proposal. DIVE DOCK is designed as a three-legged stand
for carrying diving tanks, which helps to get them on the divers back without
additional strain. The solution was developed based on an identified issue
with back problems that related to getting the tanks on the back. The solution
is designed and developed based on a self-selected user group of middle-aged men who attend a diving club and participate in the activity weekly.
